Rebirth Beirut launches its first exhibition in 2024 : Rawia Ghandour Zantout introduces “Ephemeral Escape” to art lovers

Renowned Lebanese-French painter Rawia Ghandour Zantout is set to charm art enthusiasts with her solo exhibition, “Ephemeral Escape,” hosted at Rebirth Beirut in Gemmayzeh.

The opening will take place on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and the exhibition will remain open daily from 3 pm to 6 pm until January 19th, 2024, excluding Sundays.

Born in Lebanon in 1971, Rawia’s artistic journey is a testament to the power of passion and determination. Despite familial objections, she pursued her love for the arts while studying business and finance at the International University of Monaco, ultimately becoming a self-taught artist.

“Ephemeral Escape” is a textured and colorful showcase of Rawia’s art, focusing on ecological themes and landscapes. Her work has graced numerous exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad, and she has been commissioned to paint portraits of world celebrities. Rawia was also honored with a finalist certificate in the Global Art Award.

Rebirth Beirut’s Founder and President, Mr. Gaby Fernaine, expressed pride in hosting yet another extraordinary exhibition, stating, “Rawia Ghandour Zantout’s ‘Ephemeral Escape’ is a breathtaking journey into the soul of nature. Her textured paintings, layered with depth, invite observers to explore the beauty of the natural world.”

A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will contribute to Rebirth Beirut’s ongoing initiatives, focusing on vital projects aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure, including the rehabilitation of traffic lights and street lighting.
