“Harvard Alumni in Lebanon Spearhead Economic Revival: Panel Discussion Explores Lebanon’s Path to Recovery”

The Harvard University Alumni Association in Lebanon (HUAAL) and the Harvard Business School Club of Lebanon, in collaboration with Beirut Digital District, are hosting a panel discussion on the critical aspects of Lebanon’s economic recovery.

The event, scheduled for Friday, December 22 at 5:30 PM Beirut time at Beirut Digital District 1280, Bechara El Khoury, aims to delve into the insights from the Working Paper for Lebanon prepared by the Center for International Development at Harvard University – The Growth Lab that was published in November 2023.

Esteemed Harvard alumni will lead the discussion, including Dr. Habib Zoghbi, Honorary President of the HUAAL and the HBS Club of Lebanon; Dr. Riad Obegi, Chairman of BEMO Bank; and Mr. Nicolas Chikhani, an expert in Banking & Finance.

The panel promises a blend of academic rigor and real-world experience, offering deep insights into the challenges and opportunities facing Lebanon’s economic landscape.

Prof. Najib Hage-Chahine, President of the Harvard University Alumni Association in Lebanon and Harvard Law School Alumni, will moderate the panel. With his expertise, the discussion is expected to navigate through the crucial themes of the paper, dissecting its implications for Lebanon’s path to economic recovery.
